Job summary

Sonepar Vallen is seeking a Storeroom Attendant to handle daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting at a customer site. You will manage crib window transactions, maintain stock records, and keep a clean, organized work area during a 2nd shift.

This temp-to-hire role runs Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with 30 minutes for lunch. US citizenship and client background screening are required on day one; training may occur on the 1st shift.

Qualifications

• 3+ months of relevant warehouse experience or training.
• Experience loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload, receive, and store incoming products; check for damage and invoice discrepancies.
• Sort, label, move, and store items per predetermined sequence; optimize crib space.
• Issue items to site employees; maintain records of issued/returned items.
• Enter stock data into database; pull information for inquiries and document discrepancies.

Job Summary

Storeroom Attendant is an individual contributor positioned within a customer's location to fulfill daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of customer and/or Vallen inventory, while maintaining a professional, clean, and organized work environment. Main duties center on issuing parts and materials at the crib window; candidate will be the only Vallen associate on a portion of their shift, requiring someone reliable and dependable. This is a temp-to-hire position. Must be a US Citizen; required to show US passport or certified birth certificate with raised seal on day one; client-specific background screening required.

Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch). Training on 1st shift, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, for first 1-2 weeks.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Unload, receive, and put away incoming product, goods, tools, and/or equipment; unpack bales/crates/containers; check for damage and invoice discrepancies
• Sort, label, move, and store items per predetermined sequence (size, style, product codes); optimize crib space
• Issue product, goods, tools, and/or equipment to site employees at crib window; maintain accurate records of issued/returned items
• Enter data into database/computerized systems to maintain stock records; retrieve information for inquiries (inventory levels, delivery schedules); document discrepancies on error logs
• Request requisitions to replenish inventory
• Assist with inventory maintenance, perform cycle counts, and prepare report results
• Inspect and measure tools/equipment for defects/wear; report damage to supervisors
• Prepare periodic or perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment
• Deliver tools/equipment to associate work locations
• Investigate and locate lost or misplaced equipment/safety supplies
• Repair, service, and lubricate tools/equipment as required
• Perform other related duties as requested

Experience

• 3+ months of relevant experience and/or training
• Experience loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse environment

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen; must show US passport or certified birth certificate with raised seal on day one

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Attention to detail and safety-minded approach
• Steel toe shoes required
• May be required to pass warehouse equipment certifications (written and/or driving)
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs or greater with assistance following SOPs
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance regularly
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required
• Availability for varying/rotating shifts, overtime, evenings, and weekends with little to no advance notice
