Job summary

Interfor is seeking a Store Room Associate in Perry, Georgia to maintain inventory accuracy, receive and issue materials, and ensure a safe, efficient storeroom. The role supports mill operations in a fast-paced industrial environment, requiring organization and attention to detail.

The position offers growth through Interfor's training and development programs, with pay up to $23.17 per hour and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, EAM preferred).
• CMMS experience is a plus.
• Forklift certification required (can be obtained onsite).
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, or call-ins as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety and HR policies and standards.
• Ensure efficient operation and organization of the storeroom.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, parts, and inventory.
• Perform cycle counts, weekly consumable counts, and monthly physical inventories.
• Receive, inspect, count, and label incoming materials and verify against purchase orders using CMMS.
• Stock materials appropriately and ensure documentation is forwarded to Accounts Payable.
• Issue parts to personnel using requisitions and collaborate with the Maintenance Planner for work orders or discrepancies.
• Prepare documentation for parts sent for repair and issue repair requisitions.
• Conduct daily visual inspections of key inventory items and submit requisitions for restocking.
• Assist with kitting materials (pulling and staging parts on designated pallets).
• Investigate and resolve invoicing issues in coordination with Accounts Payable.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with all employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support mill operations.
