Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring a full-time Storeroom Attendant at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to manage receiving, storage and inventory of departmental supplies and food stuffs, while maintaining sanitation in storage areas.

The role requires prior storeroom experience and strong organizational skills; the position offers a fixed pay rate of $18.01 per hour, with full-time hours. Benefits include a free shift meal and free uniforms, as well as other employee perks.

Qualifications

• Prior storeroom experience and organizational skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inventories and maintains necessary food and other supplies to ensure efficient operation of the Food Service Department.
• Stores food and supplies in correct containers and proper storage areas to prevent spoilage.
• Maintains records and logs documenting storage temperatures of perishable items.
• Dates, labels and rotates stock according to oldest product first.
• Orders food and supplies per company protocols.
• Secures designated areas to prevent theft and follows safety procedures.
• Transports food and supplies in appropriate containers to ensure safe delivery.
• Follows HACCP guidelines for receiving and distributing food.
• Reports maintenance needs and completes daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Uses cleaning chemicals per MSDS and safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
