Job summary

Torrance Memorial Medical Center is seeking a supplies and equipment handler to receive, store, and deliver items under direct supervision. Responsibilities include verification, stocking, and fulfilling departmental requests, with safe operation of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Two years of experience is preferred, and a CA Class C driver’s license is required or must be obtained within six months if out-of-state. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $27.15 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming supplies and verifies that the merchandise received matches the packing list, requisition, and purchase order.
• Stocks shelves according to procedure.
• Fills orders from user departments for supplies.
• Loads truck and delivers supplies and equipment to the Medical Center in a timely and courteous manner.
• Picks up equipment and supplies from the Medical Center for return to the Warehouse.
• Answers the telephone and responds to user department requests for assistance.
• Uses equipment including forklift, pallet jack, delivery truck and step ladders in a safe manner according to policy.
