Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and store incoming materials; check quantities and part numbers; identify damage or shortage; enter receipt transactions into the inventory system.
• Issue parts and consumables to maintenance and production; confirm correct item for the application; capture issue transactions against work orders or cost centers; maintain inventory records.
• Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counting and discrepancy investigation; monitor stock levels; generate replenishment requests; expedite critical items when downtime matters.
• Maintain storeroom organization, labeling, and cleanliness; manage obsolete stock; support customer relationship with responsive service; operate material handling equipment safely; comply with site safety.
• Support maintenance planning by providing available information, staging parts ahead of work, and flagging long-lead items early.
• Handle supplier communication on order status, expediting, returns; contribute to periodic reporting on service levels, stock accuracy, and consumption trends.

Storeroom Attendant - Integrated Supply

Location: Horicon, Wisconsin

Pay Rate: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour

Position Overview

Our client, a supply chain and distribution organization, is seeking a Storeroom Attendant for an onsite, three-month contract engagement in Horicon, Wisconsin, supporting an integrated supply operation embedded within a customer manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

• You will receive, verify, and put away incoming materials, checking quantities and part numbers against purchase orders and packing lists, identifying damage or shortage, and entering receipt transactions accurately into the inventory system.


• You will issue parts and consumables to maintenance and production personnel, confirming the correct item for the application, capturing issue transactions against the appropriate work order or cost center, and maintaining the transaction discipline that keeps inventory records trustworthy.


• You will manage inventory accuracy through cycle counting and discrepancy investigation, monitor minimum and maximum stock levels, generate replenishment requests, and expedite critical items when equipment downtime depends on them.


• You will maintain storeroom organization, labeling, and cleanliness, manage obsolete and excess stock, support the customer relationship through responsive and professional service, operate material handling equipment safely, and comply with all site safety requirements.


• You will support the customer's maintenance planning by providing accurate availability information, staging parts ahead of scheduled work, and flagging long-lead items early.


• You will also handle supplier communication on order status, expediting, and returns, and contribute to periodic reporting on service levels, stock accuracy, and consumption trends for the customer relationship.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, together with prior storeroom, warehouse, inventory, or parts experience.


• You must demonstrate accuracy in transaction recording, strong organizational habits, and basic computer literacy for inventory system use, data entry, and spreadsheets.


• Clear, professional communication is important given the onsite customer-facing nature of integrated supply.


• The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Reliable onsite attendance in Horicon, Wisconsin for the assigned shift is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior integrated supply, vendor-managed inventory, or industrial MRO storeroom experience is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with maintenance parts categories.


• Forklift certification, experience with ERP or CMMS platforms, exposure to purchasing or expediting activity, and any background supporting manufacturing maintenance teams directly are all advantageous.


• Direct experience supporting a maintenance department is valued, including reading parts manuals and identifying components from equipment drawings.


• Exposure to vending or point-of-use dispensing systems, barcode scanning inventory platforms, and any involvement in cost savings or standardization initiatives are all advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

• This engagement pays an hourly rate in the range of $17.00 to $19.00, based on experience, across a three-month contract with a defined end date.


• You will work onsite within a manufacturing operation as part of an established integrated supply team, building both inventory management and customer service experience.


• The role offers day-to-day variety and direct visibility with the customer, and extension or conversion may be possible subject to performance and continued need.


• This is a contract engagement placed through our recruiting team.
