Job summary

Sonepar Vallen in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Storeroom Attendant to handle receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of inventory. This temp role may lead to temp-to-hire for the right candidate, and requires US citizenship. Shift is Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with pay at $22.00–$23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ months of relevant experience and/or training.
• Experience loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse environment
• Forklift/cherry picker experience preferred
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory - helpful
• Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

• Unload, receive, and put away incoming product, goods, tools, and/or equipment; unpack bales/crates/containers; check for damage and invoice discrepancies
• Sort, label, move, and store items per predetermined sequence (size, style, product codes); optimize crib space
• Issue product, goods, tools, and/or equipment to site employees; maintain accurate records of issued/returned items
• Enter data into database/computerized systems to maintain stock records; retrieve information for inquiries (inventory levels, delivery schedules); document discrepancies on error logs

Job description

Storeroom Attendant is an individual contributor positioned within a customer's location to fulfill daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of customer and/or Vallen inventory, while maintaining a professional, clean, and organized work environment. This is a temp position with possibility of temp-to-hire for the right candidate. Must be a US Citizen. Facility has no AC (can get hot in summer; mandated water breaks and large fans provided for cooling). No forklift use required.
