UC San Diego is seeking a Storekeeper for a part-time appointment with hours flexing up to full time in San Diego, CA. The role manages receiving, inspection and storage of food service products, maintains storehouse systems and sanitation, and conducts regular inventories to ensure accountability.
The position requires knowledge of inventory for perishable and non-perishable items, basic computer skills, and weekend/holiday availability.
Please note that this position is a part-time appointment with hours flexing up to full time.
The Storekeeper will order, receive, inspect and store food service products, will communicate and resolve discrepancies according to UCSD policies and procedures; will establish and maintain approved storehouse systems including receiving, inventory, requisitions, etc.; will maintain all storage areas in neat, orderly, clean and sanitary condition.
Position will provide stores accountability and usage in required time frame; will maintain security. Will perform a variety of duties related to storekeeper duties, according to established procedures and quality standards. Uphold all departmental sanitation and hygiene standards. Conducts food items, supplies and equipment inventory. Job standards are to be performed at the EXPERT level.
Annual Full Pay Range: $55,687 - $73,498 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $26.67 - $35.20
