Qualifications

• Previous food inventory experience.
• Experience with perishable and non-perishable inventory.
• One to two years of food inventory and/or warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of FIFO (first in, first out) method.
• Possess basic computer skills; knowledge of accessing online resources and training.
• Ability to operate University vehicles for work-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, inspect and store food service products.
• Communicate and resolve discrepancies according to UCSD policies.
• Establish and maintain storehouse systems including receiving, inventory and requisitions.
• Maintain all storage areas in neat, orderly, clean and sanitary condition.
• Provide stores accountability and usage in required time frame; maintain security.
• Uphold all departmental sanitation and hygiene standards.
• Conducts food items, supplies and equipment inventory.
