The City of San Diego is seeking a Storekeeper I to manage inventory in a warehouse setting, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials, records, and supplies, and assisting with a computerized inventory system.
Applicants must have one year of full-time inventory control experience; duties include safety compliance, reporting, and potential night shifts with a 5% additional pay. A California driver license may be required at hire.

Storekeeper I positions order, receive, store, and issue or release various materials, records, and supplies; perform inventory control and assist in the development and maintenance of a computerized inventory system; function as a liaison with vendors to resolve problems with items received or vendor payment; assist with keeping store's cost allocations and preparing budget estimates; prepare reports; supervise adherence to safety rules and regulations pertaining to storeroom procedures, equipment, and handling of hazardous materials; train and supervise the work of subordinates; conduct site inspection for water leaks, mold, vermin, and other contaminates; and perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: One year of full-time inventory control experience in which your PRIMARY responsibility was receiving, storing, and issuing or releasing equipment, materials, records, and supplies from a stockroom and/or warehouse facility.
