Job summary

Entergy in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Storekeeper to receive, pick, pack and ship material from the distribution warehouse. You will operate powered industrial lift trucks and electric pallet jacks and perform housekeeping as part of your duties.

This role requires handling up to 50 lbs, accurate inventory counts, use of RF handheld devices or paper pick lists, and basic computer functions. The position supports health and safety initiatives and may require after-hours or storm-related

Responsibilities

• Support health, safety, quality and lean initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by superintendent.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack material manually of up to 50 lbs.


• Utilize mechanical equipment for heavier material.


• Process material returned from the field.


• Perform accurate inventory counts and problem solve to reconcile inventory differences.


• Unload material, inspect for damage and accurately count to complete receiving process then put away in proper bin location.


• Utilize RF handheld equipment or paper pick list to accurately locate and pull required material.


• Perform basic computer functions (entry, lookup, etc.).


• Print and apply appropriate shipping labels.


• Participates, supports and complies with all health, safety, quality and lean initiatives and requirements.


• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by superintendent.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum experience required of the position Storekeeper I: 0-2 years Storekeeper II: 2-4 years Storekeeper Sr: 4-6 years

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position Must be able to manually lift 50lbs and operate powered industrial lift truck and/or electric pallet jacks. Demonstrate some knowledge of stores concepts and methods. Familiar with nomenclature of electrical materials. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations. Some problem solving ability to resolve material inaccuracies.
