About the Role

As a Visual Merchandiser Manager, you contribute to an inspiring, elevated, & consistent customer experience by implementing visual standards and commercial excellence. You will work with your store team to use your trend awareness for visual and commercial curation, actively driving sales. You lead, coach, and develop a strong Visual Merchandiser team through upskilling to ensure a sustainable talent pipeline within your store.



A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are the same, but typical responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the omni-channel customer experience by following visual and commercial guidelines
  • Representing the H&M brand positively during customer interactions
  • Setting and following up on store visual & commercial goals with the store and regional teams
  • Leading your VM team in planning, organizing, and prioritizing workload based on store activation plans
  • Launching global campaigns and sales activities on time according to brand standards
  • Ensuring garment care, stock levels, and input on allocation
  • Following sales reports and identifying visual & commercial opportunities
  • Creating actions to increase customer satisfaction and meet sales targets
  • Following procedures for OMNI services, operations, and communication


Fashion & Trend Awareness

  • Staying updated with fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers
  • Coaching your VM team on trend theory, mood boards, styling techniques, and product presentation


Team & Development

  • Leading, inspiring, and educating your store team on seasonal changes, trends, and visual & commercial information
  • Coaching and developing skills for high-quality product and presentation standards
  • Supporting routines and best practices for visual & commercial standards and customer engagement
  • Handling recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and talent development
  • Planning for future talent needs and store expansion projects
  • Providing visual & commercial upskilling for team members
  • Ensuring completion of relevant trainings and development goals


Visual & Commercial Execution

  • Managing visual, commercial, and styling in-store based on calendar, trends, and guidelines
  • Ensuring sample picking routines, stockroom management, and trend storytelling
  • Securing window and styling execution to create an inspiring customer experience
  • Maintaining store layout, fixtures, and signage according to guidelines
  • Ensuring proper lighting and display form maintenance with sustainability in mind
  • Keeping store navigation and layout up to date
  • Managing stock levels for sales and activities, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment


Who You Are

  • Fashion-interested, curious, creative, and inspired by trends
  • Proactive, solution-focused, and flexible with extensive visual & commercial experience
  • Experienced in team coaching, talent development, and leadership
  • Skilled in retail management, visual, and operational routines
  • Capable of managing sales reports and the selling equation
