Job summary

Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead store operations and customer service. You will drive sales strategies, manage staff, and ensure standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

As the heart of the Lids brand, you will foster teamwork, uphold store policies, and deliver exceptional experiences to customers while supporting the store manager and team in achieving goals.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Lead store associates through training programs, goal setting, and follow-up.
• Administer progressive discipline including verbal and written warnings in the manager's absence.
• Foster a fun, productive environment and align team work with store objectives.
• Maintain respectful, inclusive team dynamics and adherence to brand standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, calling in associates during peaks.
• Recruit and train store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Ensure policy compliance, protect inventory, funds, and property.
• Open to other duties as assigned.
