Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate in Harlingen, TX to support a customer-first store environment. You will assist shoppers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and maintain planograms under Store Manager guidance.

You will also lead by example in daily operations, open/close the store as directed, and step in for the Store Manager or Assistant Manager when needed, contributing to profitability and asset protection.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change, bag merchandise.
• Follow company processes to receive, unpack, stock, restock and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; assist with sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence.
