Job summary

Dollar General in Latrobe, PA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run a busy, customer-focused store under the Store Manager's direction. You will supervise staff, handle cash and merchandising, and execute planograms to maximize sales.

You will also ensure inventory accuracy, open/close the store at least two days weekly, and protect company assets while delivering excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise, including receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels by controlling damages and markdowns.
• Implement and maintain planograms; ensure merchandise is presented as directed.
• Ensure financial integrity through cash handling and deposits.
• Assist with store management in Store Manager's absence.
