Job description

Becoming a Team Leader at Wild Fork, you will support store leadership by overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks, monitoring team performance, and ensuring store objectives are met. As second in command, you will foster collaboration and bring innovative strategies to increase productivity. You will also provide a personal chef and friendly butcher experience to all guests, thinking like customers and acting like owners.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Sr. Sales Leader in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers.
  • Track progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives.
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory.
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs.
  • Organize schedules for new hires to participate in the 6-week onboarding program.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new hires.
  • Lead ongoing training programs ensuring full participation (e.g., Chew on This, Wild Chef, Product Training).
  • Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best.
  • Coach and support new and existing Sales Associates.
  • Conduct ongoing performance reviews.
  • Monitor retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
  • Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs.
  • Analyze consumer behavior and propose product positioning to the Commercial team.
  • Handle customer complaints.
  • Research emerging products to update store merchandise.
  • Create reports and interpret retail data such as revenues, expenses, and competition.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and guidelines.
  • Act as the store’s representative and set an example for staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, such as walk-in freezers.
  • Stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours.
  • Frequent movement within the store to access various departments and products.

Qualifications:
  • Employed in current position for at least six months.
  • Acceptable 360 evaluation signed by manager within the last 12 months.
  • Maintain consistent performance with no active corrective actions.
  • Successfully pass required screening processes.
  • Previous retail supervisory experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain flexible to business needs.
  • Ability to work within a budget.
  • Team player with initiative.
  • Systems capabilities: SAP, Order Management Systems, Microsoft Office.
  • Work with integrity and respect, valuing others' opinions.
  • Ability to meet seasonal peaks, workloads, and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
