Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in New Mexico to lead customer service, supervise staff, and manage store operations. You will assist with scheduling, training, and ensuring compliance with policies, while maintaining merchandise presentation and inventory accuracy.

The role involves cash handling, deposits, and contributing to profitability and loss prevention, with responsibilities in absence of the Store Manager. A high school diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, displays and planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; control damages and losses.
• Ensure store security and cash control procedures; authorize refunds/overrides.
• Assist with store management in Store Manager's absence.
