Job summary

Ho-Chunk, Inc. is seeking a Store Operations Assistant Manager to support the store manager in daily operations and staff oversight. The role involves cash handling, inventory, scheduling, training, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include supervising openers/closers, mentoring staff, managing promotions, and maintaining compliance with ID checks for age-restricted sales. Candidates should have an Associate degree in Business Management and Class C Certification readiness.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business Management or related field.
• 2 years related experience preferred; or four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain Class C Certification and know fuel spill procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations and manage a retail store selling gasoline, liquor, cigarettes and groceries.
• Supervise staff, train new employees, and handle scheduling and overtime control.
• Maintain store cleanliness, provide excellent customer service, and handle deposits and paperwork.
• Coach under-performing staff and report personnel issues to the Store Manager.
• Ensure age-verification for tobacco/alcohol, participate in inventories, promotions, and reorder merchandise.
