Job summary

Scooter’s Coffee in the United States is seeking a Shift Leader to direct an efficient workflow and assist the Store Manager in a variety of store operations duties.

This role serves as a barista role model, leads the team during shifts, ensures brand beverage quality, maintains speed of service, and upholds health, safety and sanitation guidelines. Franchisees are independent business owners who set their own terms of employment, including wage and benefit programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent, quality customer experience by executing recipes and leading the team in delivering 'Amazing' service.
• Maintain speed of service during high-volume periods by leading an efficient team and anticipating customer needs.
• Assist Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members.
• Develop effective working relationships with team members, identifying individual motivation factors.
• Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales.
• Handle cash, operate POS, and follow procedures accurately.
• Ensure team members follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures.
• Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability.
• Assist Store Manager with administrative duties as requested.

DESCRIPTION

The Shift Leader is responsible for directing an efficient workflow and assisting the Store Manager in a variety of store operations duties. This position serves as a role model of barista responsibilities and serves as the team leader when the Store Manager is unavailable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure consistent and quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques, resolving customer relations issues, and leading the team in delivering the Scooter’s “Amazing” customer service experience
• Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by staying calm, managing an efficient team workflow, anticipating customer needs, and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush
• Assist the Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members
• Develop effective working relationships with team members, identifying individual motivation factors
• Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales
• Understand and execute cash handling, point of sale system, and operational procedures in an accurate, consistent manner
• Ensure team members follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures
• Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability
• Assist Store Manager with administrative duties as requested
