Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the following duties, in addition to other tasks as assigned:

1. Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD), performing all necessary functions for successful store operation. Takes direction from the Store Manager and makes key decisions regarding store resources.
2. Executes merchandising plans and maintains in-stock conditions throughout the store.
3. Engages with customers, providing feedback and service results to associates. Resolves customer issues promptly and effectively.
4. Oversees work assignments to utilize talents and abilities while maximizing profits. Ensures compliance with all labor laws, including lunch breaks and scheduling restrictions.
5. Oversees procedures for receiving, producing, and replenishing merchandise, including inspecting products upon delivery, ensuring pricing accuracy, freshness, quality, and proper product rotation. Maintains necessary logs according to company policy.
6. Ensures associates operate equipment safely, complying with OSHA requirements, and adheres to price accuracy and weights and measures laws.
7. Performs daily store walks of the entire store and exterior property to identify successes and opportunities, providing direction and feedback, and being visible and accessible to associates and customers.
8. Supports and executes all company programs to achieve desired business results. Communicates policies clearly to associates and ensures understanding and compliance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shift Supervisor oversees multiple aspects of store operations, ensuring all associates work safely, efficiently, and productively.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the Associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without accommodations. The requirements include:
