Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is seeking a part-time Shift Lead to support store operations in Texas. You will provide excellent customer service, assist with purchases and fuel transactions, and help lead the team to meet performance goals.

The role requires cashier experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Daily responsibilities include cash handling, maintaining a clean store, and backing up management as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED or at least 6 months of related experience.
• Minimum 3 months of cashier experience.
• Must be 18+ years old; age requirements vary by state.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to perform repeated bending, standing and reaching; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience
• Responding to and resolving customer's requests and concerns
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions
• Operating cash register
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees
