Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is hiring a part-time Shift Lead in Ohio to deliver prompt, courteous customer service and support store operations. You will handle fuel transactions, assist customers, and help lead a team toward daily performance goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED (or 6+ months of related experience), at least 3 months of cashier experience, and a valid driver’s license. This role offers growth potential and a diverse, inclusive culture.

• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Minimum 3 months of cashier experience required.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Respond to and resolve customer requests and concerns.
• Assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operate the cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise are available for customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment.
• Support the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Help lead the team to exceed store performance goals.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
• In absence of management, provide backup duties including daily/monthly paperwork, problem resolution, video review, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product counts, and training new employees.
