Job summary

Murphy USA is hiring a part-time Shift Lead. You will provide prompt, courteous customer service, operate the cash register, and help ensure fuel and merchandise availability. You’ll support store operations, lead a team, and assist in achieving store goals while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Promotion from Shift Lead to Assistant Manager can occur in as little as 6 months, with opportunities for career advancement and benefits like daily pay, health coverage, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old; age may vary by state.
• High school diploma or GED, or at least 6 months of related experience.
• Minimum 3 months of cashier experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to bend, stand, reach; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Responding to and resolving customer requests and concerns.
• Operating cash register.
• Ensuring fuel and merchandise availability for customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations.

Responsibilities

• Helping lead the team to exceed the store’s performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
