Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is hiring for a part-time Shift Lead to empower a fast-paced retail team at our Missouri location. You will deliver a courteous customer experience, handle transactions, and support store operations while promoting safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 months of cashier experience.
• High school diploma or GED, or at least 6 months related job experience.
• Must be 18+ years old (21+ in certain states).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to bend, stand, and reach; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous customer experience.
• Resolve customer requests and concerns.
• Assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise availability for customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment.
• Support Store Manager in daily operations.
• Help lead the team to meet store goals.
• Perform duties including daily/monthly paperwork and training new employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience
• Responding to and resolving customer's requests and concerns
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions
• Operating cash register
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
