Job description

This position is responsible for the complete installation of assigned new stores, relocations, expansions, renovations, or remodels.

The scope includes ensuring the store reflects current fixturing (per approved drawings), merchandising (latest Plan-O-Gram), equipment placement (including POS, Satellite, Mix/Tint equipment), computer cabling, warehouse anchoring, POP/Visual Aids, Signs, and office setup. The role involves managing labor workers and store staff during fixture installation and overseeing the completion of construction items on punch-lists provided by Division-Engineering. Prior to arrival, contact store personnel to coordinate the next installation project.

Job duties involve contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuables. To ensure safety and security, a criminal history review is conducted.

Qualifications

Formal Education:

  • Required: High School diploma
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Required: 2+ years with Sherwin-Williams or in related construction/installation fields
  • Preferred: 4+ years with Sherwin-Williams or in related fields

Technical/Skill Requirements:

  • Preferred: Mechanical or trade skills

Travel Requirements:

50% or more

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Manage and supervise vendors to ensure fixturing and merchandising of new, relocated, or remodeled stores.
  • Install all fixtures and equipment according to approved layouts.
  • Perform installation/relocation of computer equipment for POS, MGR, and TINT systems.
  • Complete all projects within designated timeframes to ensure timely store openings.
  • Provide feedback to District and Division staff for improved installation efficiency.
  • Adhere to company guidelines to maximize project results while minimizing expenses.
  • Maintain personal travel expenses within company guidelines and submit reports promptly.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports (Punch Lists, Travel Expenses, etc.), including photos of completed locations.
  • Proficiently use power tools and perform carpentry skills as needed.
  • Coordinate with local District and/or Store Managers to verify project completion and approval.
