Job summary

Huck’s Market in Seymour, IN, is seeking a Senior Associate to oversee shift operations and support store management. You will greet customers, manage hours, cover peak times, and ensure compliance with policies while modeling professional conduct.

The role includes handling bookkeeping tasks, cash handling, deposits, and maintaining store standards. You will promote Huck’s Bucks loyalty app and support a comprehensive benefits package upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service, including greeting customers via gasoline intercom and adhering to Best In Class standards
• Observes shift operating hours as assigned by Store Manager and helps fill shifts
• Works the store manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week
• Performs tasks as assigned by Store Manager
• Communicates effectively with store associates and management
• Follows all laws and ordinances pertaining to store operation
• Acts as a role model of conduct for associates
• Notifies Store Manager of sales, cash, or operating discrepancies
• Ensures associates wear proper uniform and provide prompt, courteous service
• Completes a shift change report at shift start and end
• Properly records hours worked
• Rings all sales according to policy
• Records all over rings and refunds accurately
• Completes daily paperwork and makes deposits as directed
• Treats all associates with dignity and respect and uses proper personnel management techniques
• Advises Store Manager of personnel situations or policy violations affecting performance
• Ensures all associate shift procedures are followed and a safe environment is maintained
• Ensures cash and merchandise are handled securely and vendor check-in procedures are followed
• Keeps coolers, drink boxes, shelves and displays stocked and fronted
• Maintains equipment and readies high-margin products as directed
• Uses correct pricing as listed on policy manuals
• Ensures store appearance meets company expectations, floors are clean and show high gloss, windows/ glass are clean
• Parking lot is swept daily and rest rooms are clean and in good order
• Reports maintenance problems if cannot be corrected immediately
• Maintains sanitation procedures in food service areas
• Follows lifting procedures and uses ladders correctly
• Uses wet floor signs as required
• Reports accidents promptly to store manager and corporate office
• Actively promote Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app and assist customers signing up and using it
