King Soopers in Colorado seeks a dependable janitorial associate to maintain safe, sanitary store conditions and assist customers. You will clean entrances, floors, restrooms, and equipment, while adhering to health regulations and company standards.

You will operate cleaning tools, restock supplies, handle minor maintenance, and work calmly in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, honesty, integrity, and safe handling of chemicals, with opportunities for growth and benefits

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading/writing to complete forms.
• Ability to read a technical manual, retain and comprehend.
• Reading/writing skills to complete forms.
• Team oriented with good communication.
• Strong safety awareness and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and communicate effectively with store associates.
• Utilize equipment to clean and maintain floor conditions.
• Clean public restrooms and restock towels, tissue and soap.
• Clean walls, vents, ceilings, and refrigerated cases; exterminate pests.
• Move equipment and displays to facilitate cleaning.
• Replace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitation supplies in departments.
• Shampoo and vacuum mats and rugs; follow hand scrubbing protocols.
• Mix cleansers and sanitizers safely for best results.
• Spread ice melt and shovel snow from entrances and sidewalks as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a respectful, nonconfrontational manner.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance as needed.
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as required.
