Job summary

King Soopers in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Store Cleaning Associate to maintain safe, sanitary conditions and assist with customer service. You will clean entrances, restrooms, floors, walls, and equipment while supporting store operations and upholding company safety standards.

The role involves teamwork, basic math, and following safety practices. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Training and benefits are provided as part of Kroger family companies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a technical manual, retain, and comprehend.
• Ability to perform basic math functions such as addition, multiplication, subtraction and division.
• Reading/writing skills to complete forms.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and communicate effectively with store associates.
• Utilize and operate equipment to clean and maintain floor conditions throughout the store.
• Clean public rest rooms and refill dispensers; empty trash throughout store.
• Clean walls, vents and ceilings; dismantle, clean and reassemble refrigerated cases.
• Move equipment and non-stationary displays to facilitate cleaning.
• Replace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
• Clean and maintain cleaning and sanitation supplies in departments.
• Shampoo and vacuum mats and rugs; follow after hand scrubber and trail mops.
• Mix cleansers and sanitizers properly for safety.
• Spread ice melt and shovel snow from front entrance and sidewalks as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment when needed.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
