Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Accurately store items in designated locations within both the main and satellite storerooms.
  • Stage and kit parts for projects and upcoming work orders.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of all storage areas, including shelving, bins, and access pathways.
  • Safely transport materials between floors using freight elevator and/or pallet jacks, dollies, and fork trucks.
  • Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and assist with full physical inventory audits.
  • Update inventory records in the company’s system to ensure accuracy.
  • Label, tag, and track inventory using established procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of shortages or discrepancies.
  • Follow all safety protocols, especially when handling materials on stairs or elevated storage areas.
  • Assist in maintaining proper storage conditions for sensitive or hazardous materials.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory control and storeroom organization

Job Description

The Store Room Attendant is responsible for the organization, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, and supplies within a manufacturing facility, including both ground-level and upstairs storeroom areas. This role ensures accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and a safe, well-maintained storage environment to support production operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips
