Job summary

Closure Systems International, Inc. at the Erie plant seeks a manufacturing associate to support daily shop floor operations.

You will deliver materials, stage them near machines, and package finished goods with accurate labeling to ensure smooth production flow. Responsibilities include handling scrap, recycling plastic components, and participating in daily team meetings while contributing ideas to improve performance and safety on the line.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma and be able to read, write and speak English.
• Experience in manufacturing/operations is required.
• Must have active forklift license and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of Materials to maintain continuous operation of equipment.
• Packaging of Finished Goods and palletized loads to customer specifications.
• Handling of operation scrap and plastic grinding for reuse.
• Participate in daily team meetings and contribute ideas to improve operations.
• Perform miscellaneous projects and data collection tasks.

Job Location: Erie Plant - Erie, PA 16502

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. 1. Delivery of Materials
   • a. Ensure the timely delivery of packaging and raw materials to maintain continuous operation of equipment.
   • b. Materials to be staged in the designated area around the appropriate machine in an orderly fashion.
   • c. Load cartons and bags to ensure supply of finished goods cartons.
   • d. Preparation of any special materials that may require manual mixing.
2. 2. Packaging of Finished Goods
   • a. Packaging of finished products and building palletized loads to customers specifications.
   • b. Monitoring and operation of automated packaging equipment to ensure proper performance.
   • c. Applying appropriate labels of packaging slips for product identification.
   • d. Removal of finished goods pallets to warehouse staging area.
3. 3. Handling of Operation Scrap
   • a. Labeling and removal process generated scrap to appropriate area.
   • b. Grinding of plastic components for the purpose of materials reuse.
4. 4. Shop floor Management Participation
   • a. Participate in daily team meeting.
   • b. Contribute / implement ideas to improve operations performances.
5. 5. Other Duties as Assigned
   • a. Perform miscellaneous projects and data collection tasks.

Educational and Other Skill Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Read, write and speak English
• Experience / proven ability within operations
• Be capable of using basic mathematics.
• Be trained in and understand safety and efficiently perform the operations in this job description.
• Perform those duties that it may; from time to time, be necessary to change or add to the Job.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Abide by all plant rules and safety regulations in the performance of the duties specified here in.
• Must have active forklift license.
