Pay-Less Markets in Dededo, Guam is seeking a Store POS Clerk to prepare and verify shelf tags, manage pricing updates, and ensure signage accuracy across merchandise.

You will operate the POS system, assist with inventory, provide friendly customer service, and report discrepancies to the pricing team. The role requires teamwork across departments and adherence to safety guidelines. Experience with cash registers and merchandising software is a plus.

JOB PURPOSE:The Store Point of Sale Clerk is responsible to prepare, verify, change, correct, shelf tags and signs for store merchandise.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Has knowledge and is cognizant of product, advertising, policies, practices, procedures, rules, regulations and correspondingly answers customer’s questions.Operates and maintains Symbol hand-held terminal and computer relative to “scanning” and “pricing” store merchandise concerning customer purchase pricing and POS Department/Accounting Department record keeping procedures.Comes to work as scheduled & applies all batches on a timely manner.Reports discrepancies to POS/Retail Pricing Manager and makes corrections per instructions.Understand the mechanics of the POS backend system to navigate, make appropriate changes, and run reports.Can accurately input data efficiently and effectively.Follows through on POS Department originated concerns.Assures all merchandise shelf tags, and signs are accurate, daily.Operates cashier register, adding machine, weight scale, as needed.Assists with monthly and fiscal inventory, as needed.Displays good customer service skills.ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.CERTIFICATIONSValid Health CertificateKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Must be able to uphold our company’s mission statement.Working knowledge of cash register, adding machine, symbol & computers.Experience in GSS - Grocery Support System or BRData.Excellent customer service and organizational skills.Proficiency in merchandising software, Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work collaboratively across departments.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.SAFETY & HEALTH RESPONSIBILITIES:Pay-Less Markets is committed to providing and maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for all employees and customers.
