Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Store Planning Intern for a full‑time six‑month program in the Orlando, Florida area from January 2027 to June 2027. You will support merchandise planning, forecast demand, and contribute to strategic product storytelling across Disney locations.

You will work with Merchandise Strategy, Planning, and Operations teams, applying analytical skills and financial insight to optimize product flow and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, or business development (internships or academic projects count!)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of merchandise planning, financials, forecasting, and trend analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business performance using financial reports, KPIs, and trend data to identify opportunities to maximize revenue and improve guest engagement.
• Forecast inventory needs and establish presentation quantities to support product launches and seasonal events.
• Develop merchandise strategies in partnership with Planning and Strategy teams, using guest insights, financial data, and operational feedback.
• Create product flow calendars and floor plans in collaboration with Visual Presentation to ensure cohesive storytelling across locations.
• Recommend replenishment and backfill strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels and data integrity.
• Communicate with Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of merchandise plans and strategies.
