Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Store/Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a team of Associates, and ensure excellent customer service.

You will partner with leadership to manage merchandising, payroll, and compliance while maintaining store standards and a positive work environment. The role requires at least two years of retail management experience, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize those tasks, give direction and follow through to completion.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of Customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all areas assigned by the Store Manager and follow policies regarding Customers, Associates and merchandising.
• Lead the entire operation of the Store in the absence of the Store Manager to meet Company standards.
• Supervise and coach Retail Associates to deliver efficient and friendly service across registers, service desks and sales floors.
• Ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations and payroll administration as needed.
