Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the store manager in driving sales, operations, asset protection, and HR functions.

The role focuses on customer experience, scheduling, cash handling, and coaching staff to meet performance targets. You will oversee daily store operations, maintain visual merchandising standards, and participate in recruiting and associate development across the district stores.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 3 years retail or sales management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
• Able to travel to stores throughout the district.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
• Able to stand, lift, and maneuver in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares weekly schedules to cover floor space within payroll guidelines.
• Promotes customer service by greeting and assisting customers, handling inquiries professionally.
• Supervises sales, inventory receipt, cash handling, and customer services.
• Models sales techniques and guides product knowledge to customers.
• Maintains a visually appealing store with proper housekeeping and merchandising.
• Trains associates on visual merchandising and store maintenance.
• Monitors performance and delivers coaching to achieve goals.
• Performs cash handling, pricing changes, and merchandise processing per policy.
• Manages inventory receipt/dispatch, replenishment, and inventories.
• Ensures store operations are safe and well maintained and compliant with procedures.
• Assists in recruiting, hiring, and development of store associates.
