Job summary

Rural King in Montic, IN seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, oversee merchandising and inventory, and create a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

You will coach and develop associates, support recruiting, and model Rural King's Values of People First, Integrity, and Teamwork while building a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop teams.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory, scheduling, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations with Store Manager to drive sales and efficiency.
• Monitor performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and loss prevention.
• Support scheduling, labor planning, inventory accuracy, and cash handling.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop associates; conduct coaching and evaluations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and coach teams on engagement and service standards.
• Promote safety and OSHA compliance; assist with asset protection and audits.
