US Foods, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for CHEF’S STORE®. The role drives front-end operations, merchandising, and customer service to achieve sales and profits while upholding company standards.

You will supervise staff, recruit and train front-end employees, manage schedules, and participate in inventory and loss prevention. A two-year college degree and 4 years in retail with 2 years supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Business Management, Supply Chain/Wholesale Management, or Accounting/Finance degree preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a retail environment is required.
• At least two (2) years of management/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach front-end employees to provide efficient, friendly service.
• Coordinate with Store Manager on next steps for performance and discipline when needed.
• Ensure compliance with personnel policies and procedures.
• Understand the Annual Operating Plan and translate to monthly Profit and Loss statements.
• Assist in budgeting and managing shrinkage with emphasis on front-end processes.
• Participate in annual inventory planning and execution.
• Train front-end staff on required programs and SOPs.
• Ensure facility safety and adherence to company policies.
• Interview, hire, and onboard assigned staff; provide day-to-day direction and scheduling.
• Prepare in-store demonstrations and promotions to maximize sales.
• Oversee receiving, restocking, and merchandising programs.
• Communicate merchandising and marketing programs to staff and report results.
