Job summary

ROSS STORES is seeking a Store Manager to lead all aspects of the store’s operations in Mobile, AL, ensuring company standards and best practices are met. You will recruit, train and develop the leadership team, manage the stockroom, front end and sales floor, and drive sales and profit while maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You will analyze store performance, optimize expenses, and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Store management experience in a retail environment.
• Must maintain a high level of Customer service.
• Must demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to train, coach and develop Associates at all levels.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks necessary to accomplish goals, develop a schedule to complete tasks and execute to achieve results.
• Fluency in English.
• Must exercise considerable independent judgement and discretion.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Leads all Company Best Practices and maximizes productivity by minimizing steps and touches while working.
• Analyzes Store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall Store performance.
• Addresses variance to Company standards with action plans with District Manager
• Ensures proper scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives.
• Responsible for payroll administration including daily punch edits and payroll reporting as needed.
• Recruits, trains and develops Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors and non-exempt Associates.
• Maintains compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
• Monitors store loss prevention programs and inventory processes.
