Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Store Manager to lead all aspects of store operations, ensuring company standards and best practices are met. You will recruit, train and develop a leadership team, manage payroll and scheduling, and drive sales and profit through efficient operations.

You will oversee stockroom, front end, and sales floor, while maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Store management experience in a retail environment.
• Must maintain a high level of Customer service.
• Must demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to train, coach and develop Associates at all levels.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to accomplish goals, develop a schedule to complete tasks and execute.
• Fluency in English.
• Must exercise considerable independent judgement and discretion.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Company Best Practices and maximize productivity by minimizing steps and touches while working.
• Analyze Store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall Store performance.
• Address variances to Company standards with action plans with the District Manager.
• Ensure proper scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors and non-exempt Associates.
• Oversee payroll administration including daily punch edits and payroll reporting.
• Maintain compliance with Ross policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
• Ensure a clean, neat, easy to shop environment and strong customer service at registers and service desks.
