Job summary

Family Dollar in Macon, MS is seeking a part-time sales associate to greet customers, help locate merchandise, and process transactions at the POS. You will support store operations, assist with inventory, deliveries, and daily cleaning to maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

You may open or close the store in absence of management, help cashiers, and uphold safety, asset protection, and exceptional service while building the basket with add-ons.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: retail management in grocery or drug store preferred.
• Available to work flexible schedule including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with merchandise selection and locating items.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Assist with inventory, deliveries and replenishment to maintain stock.
• Support Store Manager with daily activities and store operations.
• Open or close the store in absence of management and supervise cashiers.
• Maintain store cleanliness, appearance and overall customer experience.
• Protect assets and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service and upsell promotional items.
• Stock shelves, recover merchandise and assist customers with questions.
• Follow all safety procedures and standards consistently.
