Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Woodside, New York team. You will support store operations, customer service, and team development, helping ensure smooth day-to-day activities and a friendly shopping environment.

You will assist with merchandise flow, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and staff training under the Store Manager. The role requires a high school diploma, retail management experience, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs; we offer competitive pay

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and store procedures.
• Help Store Manager train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and presentability; restock bathrooms and floors.
