Job summary

Family Dollar in Marianna, AR is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help supervise daily activities and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment for customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities include opening/closing tasks, merchandising, payroll and scheduling support, loss prevention, and applying corporate directives to store operations. Previous retail leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; reading and interpreting operational directives is preferred
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and information requests related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
