Job summary

H&S Energy Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations at a retail site. The role includes handling daily paperwork, approved orders, scheduling and price changes, and resolving customer concerns.

You will apply POS and back-office system knowledge, supervise shift duties, and ensure compliance with labor laws while promoting safety. Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior retail or management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet demands, with excellent follow-through.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform select duties and responsibilities of the Store Manager in their absence, such as submitting daily paperwork, approved orders, creating maintenance tickets, addressing scheduling issues, processing approved price changes, and handling customer concerns or complaints.
• Demonstrate competent knowledge of Point of Sale and back-office systems.
• Resolve customer issues in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assign and inspect shift duties and responsibilities.
• Understand and apply federal, state, and local labor laws as they apply to retail operations.
• Assist with promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring safety rules and regulations are followed.
• Demonstrate strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Interact professionally with all team members.
• Not authorized to hire, fire, or promote employees but may be asked to make recommendations regarding employee performance and/or disciplinary issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Candidate must be able to work any shift, Sunday–Saturday, to support the company’s business needs.
