Job summary

CubeSmart is seeking a customer-focused store associate to manage daily operations and customer interactions across our self-storage locations in Texas. You will build relationships, meet sales goals, and handle leasing, payments, and daily banking tasks.

You’ll perform routine maintenance, assist customers on-site, and support a safe, clean facility. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work Saturdays.

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing solutions while delivering standout service.
• Interact face-to-face with customers, provide excellent service, and build rapport.
• Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Walk the property to perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
• Rent units, manage leasing, process payments via POS, complete daily deposits, and make courtesy calls for late payments.
• Perform daily maintenance: cleaning units and store grounds, opening/closing doors up to 50 lbs, and keeping facilities clean and safe.

In your role at CubeSmart Self-Storage, you will be required to manage and maintain stores within your district. This includes skills in both customer service and property maintenance.

Customer Service

• Developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a standout customer experience.
• Interacting face to face with customers, providing excellent service, and building rapport.
• Meeting monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Walking the property to perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
• Working both independently and on a team renting self-storage units, selling store merchandise, managing the leasing process, accepting payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), completing daily bank deposits, and making courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.

Property Maintenance

• Physical requirements include daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the store grounds, opening, and closing of the storage doors (up to 50 lbs.)
• Maintaining facility which includes mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar activities.
• Keeping a clean and safe storage facility to ensure conditions meet company guidelines (i.e., clean restrooms, neat landscaping and parking areas, storage doors that are clean and tidy, and neat decluttered office space.)
