Job summary

CubeSmart Self-Storage is seeking a Store Operations Associate to manage and maintain stores within your district. You will develop customer relationships, identify storage needs, and provide solutions while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will perform daily property tasks, walk the grounds, and ensure smooth leasing processes. The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and weekend availability, with opportunities for growth across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships by identifying storage needs and offering solutions while delivering a standout experience.
• Interact face-to-face with customers and build rapport.
• Meet monthly sales goals and related metrics.
• Walk the property to perform daily tasks including lock checks and unit showings.
• Rent units, sell merch, manage leasing, process payments via POS, and handle daily banking.

In your role at CubeSmart Self-Storage, you will be required to manage and maintain stores within your district. This includes skills in both customer service and property maintenance.

The Store Operations Associate is responsible for two key areas:

Customer Service

• Developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a standout customer experience.
• Interacting face to face with customers, providing excellent service, and building rapport.
• Meeting monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Walking the property to perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
• Working both independently and on a team renting self-storage units, selling store merchandise, managing the leasing process, accepting payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), completing daily bank deposits, and making courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.

Property Maintenance

• Physical requirements include daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the store grounds, opening, and closing of the storage doors (up to 50 lbs.)
• Maintaining facility which includes mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar activities.
• Keeping a clean and safe storage facility to ensure conditions meet company guidelines (i.e., clean restrooms, neat landscaping and parking areas, storage doors that are clean and tidy, and neat decluttered office space.)

Job Requirements:

• You must have the ability to work Saturdays.
• Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance are required.
• While performing the duties of this job, you will be frequently required to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb or balance on a ladder.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
