Job Responsibilities

1. Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
2. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return.
3. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor quality assurance standards.
4. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent service.

6. Maintain knowledge of products sold within the department to respond to customer questions and make suggestions.
7. Recommend grocery items to customers and inform them of specials.
8. Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and ensure freshness.
9. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise, ensuring availability of fresh products.
10. Report product discrepancies to the department manager.
11. Display a positive attitude and stay current with store promotions and ads.
12. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain temperature logs.
14. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
15. Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
16. Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks or illegal activities.
17. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
