Job description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor all quality assurance standards. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities

1. Promote trust and respect among associates
2. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products and store services
3. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions
4. Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials
5. Check product quality and review sell-by dates
6. Label, stock, and inventory merchandise; provide fresh products as ordered
7. Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping
8. Display a positive attitude
9. Stay current with ads and promotions
10. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures with logs
11. Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management
12. Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
13. Notify management of accidents or safety risks
14. Report illegal activities such as theft or fraud
15. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
