Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. Sierra store in Bellingham is seeking a flexible, team‑oriented associate to execute receiving and merchandising standards, engage customers, and keep the sales floor organized.

You’ll learn TJX processes while contributing to fast‑paced store operations and an excellent customer experience. This role requires the ability to lift heavy objects, multi‑task, and collaborate with peers and supervisors; prior retail and leadership exposure is valued.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience
• 6 months of leadership experience
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Team player, able to work with peers and supervisors
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without accommodation
• Able to train others
• Able to work nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Create a positive customer experience
• Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize merchandise processing onto the sales floor
• Maintain tagging, hanging, securing, and coding of merchandise
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles
• Ensure merchandise flows to the sales floor efficiently
• Support safety, housekeeping, and store standards
• Communicate priorities and progress with management and Associates
• Promote loyalty programs and participate in shrink-reduction goals
• Adhere to labor laws and company policies
• Other duties as assigned
