Job summary

Michaels in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards. You will ensure accurate pricing and timely promotional execution, and maintain a customer-ready store environment through strong planning and inventory management.

You will lead workload planning, oversee in-stock optimization, ship-from-store, RTVs, and planogram compliance while coaching team

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Lead and manage SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and store leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards and accountability.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support clean, organized, customer-ready store environment and backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, accuracy, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and accurate order processing.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Manage damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
