Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Merchandise Manager in Mission Viejo, CA to drive merchandising and operational execution in a fast-paced retail setting. You will oversee truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards, ensuring accurate pricing and timely promotional execution to maintain a customer-ready store environment.

The role requires strong workload planning, inventory management, and leadership of the team to meet store objectives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, store conditions.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Lead truck unloading, sorting, and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines for in-stock levels.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support backroom organization and a customer-ready environment.
• Manage inventory control, pricing changes, and shrink reduction.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, RTVs and ASN processes.
