Job description

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Manager to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with increasing opportunities for career growth.

As a Store Manager, you will:
  1. Provide excellent customer service at your location, including communicating with customers, resolving complaints and inquiries, filling in for absent employees, answering telephone calls, and screening calls.
  2. Make supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures. Assist in planning, leadership, organizing, and follow-ups in areas such as controllable expenses, sales increases, inside gross margin, shortage controls, promotional programs, and monitoring competitors.
  3. Complete daily bookkeeping using a computer to record employee information, inventory, and sales data.
  4. Maintain security of all store assets, including control of cash, fuel, inventories, merchandise, and labor hours.
  5. Handle new employee hiring, training, orientation, and discipline or termination of problem employees.
  6. Order supplies and merchandise, inventory merchandise, invoice merchandise, record daily sales, and manage merchandising activities including receiving, pricing, stocking, displaying, and rotating inventories.
  7. Perform store maintenance and basic repairs, make bank deposits, and ensure cleanliness of the store and restrooms.
  8. Set an exemplary example for coworkers in professionalism, attitude, and teamwork, particularly in customer service and convenience store operations.
  9. Maintain a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
