Responsibilities
- Learn Walgreens’ operations and lead full store operations across front-end and pharmacy. Complete the accelerated development track to Store Manager within the designated timeframe.
- Under the Store Manager's guidance, oversee store operations including front-end and pharmacy.
- Assist and shadow the Store Manager to support store operations throughout the learning process.
Training & Personal Development
- Complete a rigorous, accelerated program with all necessary certifications for the Store Manager role.
- Participate in classroom, online, and on-the-job training, including rotations in other stores.
- Follow development plans with District Manager, engage in growth discussions, and demonstrate proficiency in learning topics.
- Seek self-development, monitor performance, and learn best practices in retail, pharmacy, and management.
- Implement compliance SOPs, learn store systems, and obtain required pharmacy licensure and certifications.
Customer Experience
- Engage with customers, resolve complaints, and model customer service best practices.
- Monitor and improve customer service, coach team members, and analyze feedback to enhance service metrics.
Operations
- Gain experience supervising store operations, merchandising, and inventory management.
- Learn to protect assets through loss prevention and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Support safety, maintain policies, and complete assigned tasks.
Business Performance & Planning
- Analyze performance data, develop action plans, and identify sales opportunities.
- Review asset protection data and operational metrics to improve results.
- Assist in planning to grow the store and pharmacy business.
People & Performance Management
- Learn all aspects of people management, including training and coaching.
- Shadow the Store Manager in performance discussions and understand HR policies.
- Support team engagement and problem-solving.
Communications
- Attend key meetings, provide feedback, and assist in community events.
- Gain experience in team discussions and operational communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years retail management experience.
- Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Flexible schedule, willing to accept store assignment, and willing to transfer within the area.
- PTCB Certification preferred.
